Where to order cake in Asansol — pickup near the railway station and bus stand

A lot of messages start the same way: "where is your shop?". There isn't one — I'm a home baker, so your cake comes out of a home kitchen at Thakurpukur, Burnpur, and you either collect it or I deliver it. This is exactly how that works, including for people arriving by train or bus.

Pickup from the kitchen

Pickup is free and it's how most orders are collected. The kitchen is about 20 minutes from Asansol railway station and a similar run from the main bus stand. I don't publish the door number publicly, but once your order is confirmed I send the exact location pin on WhatsApp along with a collection slot.

Please message before you set out. Everything is baked to order, so there is nothing sitting ready — the slot we agree is the time your cake is finished, chilled and boxed.

If you're arriving by train

Tell me your train time when you order. I'll finish and chill the cake so it's ready right before you need it, and if the timing is tight I can usually arrange a handover closer to the station side of the city instead of you travelling out to Burnpur.

For anything travelling onward on a train, ask me for a firmer finish — ganache or buttercream rather than whipped cream — and carry the box flat, ideally in a cool bag. That one change is the difference between a cake that arrives looking like the photo and one that doesn't.

If you're coming by bus

Bus-stand and Court More handovers work best in the evening. Traffic is lighter, the temperature has dropped, and cream cakes travel far better after sunset than at two in the afternoon.

Local delivery covers Asansol town and Burnpur, Hirapur, Ushagram, Dhadka, Kanyapur, Court More, Sen Raleigh, Apcar Garden, Chelidanga and Kalyanpur. Delivery is charged at actual cost — it depends on distance and the time slot, and I tell you the amount along with the cake quote, never afterwards.

Timing matters more than the address. Cream cakes are happiest going straight from my fridge to yours, so we pick a slot close to your cutting time rather than early in the morning. For tiered cakes and cakes with fresh flowers I prefer to hand them over myself.

How much notice

24 hours is the minimum, 24–48 hours is comfortable, and tiered or heavily sculpted cakes need 4–7 days. Festival weeks, Valentine's week and December fill early — if your date falls there, message a week ahead.
